With evolving digital trends, they needed to provide their customers and dealers with a newer digital platform with minimal manual interventions to process the auto loans. They required a technology partner who could enable the end-to-end independent validation and coverage for the development and facilitate the product rollout on time. 

The Solution

Collabera provided its services on a managed services engagement model for loan origination product rollout comprising core areas like User Acceptance Testing, automation, and ETL for data. The solution involved testing a third-party platform for integration with the dealer systems, upstream and downstream applications at the financial institution, and other external applications. This enabled a seamless and touchless digital interface between the dealers and consumers, where the consumers were able to choose the vehicle of their choice, look for the inventory available at various dealers, and choose the best possible finance options for lease vs. buy.  

Critical areas of automation implemented by the team:

  • Test data validator: A Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro tool to validate the financial values between credit DB and dealer portal screen
  • API automation using Jmeter: Using the prequalification web API, Bureau API, and Email Service API
  • Suggested Katalon studio to support the test automation process

  • 34 hours of manual efforts saved in a week with Jmeter that led to a 55% reduction in efforts for testing 3 APIs
