Title: Clinical Safety Coder III (Remote)

Duration:  12 Months (Possible extension)

Exigences :

• Proficiency in MedDRA Coding
• Familiarity with WHODD and ATC Coding
• Experience preferred (not required)
• Knowledge of MedDRA Browser and UMC Insight Too

• As a Remote Clinical Data Coder, you'll ensure the accurate and consistent coding of medical data, including adverse event descriptions and medication data from global clinical trials across various clinical areas. You'll be a part of the Centralized Clinical Coding Group (CCCG), contributing to process improvement initiatives and serving as a subject matter expert in coding.

• Serve as the primary coding resource for assigned compounds and studies.
• Accurately code adverse events using MedDRA and concomitant medications using WHO Drug according to company coding conventions and ATC.
• Prepare and manage coding assignments for new studies, collaborating with clinical team representatives on coding strategy.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies, review coding listings for accuracy, and initiate query generation when necessary.
• Participate in identifying prohibited medications and exclusionary medical history for clinical trials and escalate issues as needed.
• Contribute to the development of coding conventions, SOPs, and work practices as a member of the coding team.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines and provide consultation to safety reviewers, study physicians, and clinical team members.
• Provide coding training and support to clinical team members, CROs, investigators, and sites as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related health science field (e.g., Nursing, Pharmacy).
• 2-4 years of drug safety/pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding and utilization of medical terminology.
• Experience in coding medical data and understanding of the clinical coding process preferred.
• Working knowledge of MedDRA and WHO-DD preferred.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies in clinical data and manage multiple projects.

• Familiarity with clinical trial data systems and EDC coding tools is a plus.
