Job Description:

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program.
  • Oversees all aspects of projects/program. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of the project/program.
  • May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Group:

  • We are a Program Management group working on primarily electro-mechanical assemblies. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) that has worked in Aerospace or space.
  • Have technical skills & Program Management skills and familiarity with testing, requirements, design, and all aspects that go into space or aerospace projects.

Interaction with team/Day to Day:

  • Help to define and lead the development of one or more subsystems or systems.
  • They will have to work with/in a project plan or schedule.
  • Be able to follow up on action items and task lists.
  • Work collaboratively across the team to make sure we don’t miss deliverables.
  • Follow up on different test campaigns and test capabilities.
  • Resolving blocking issues, which could vary. (i.e. solving procurement challenges, resolving challenges with getting the right equipment, resolving challenges with getting a design or testing unblocked.
  • Will need to follow up on testing at a detailed level.
  • Make sure we do the right things to get that unblocked.
  • May work in a lab and/or desk environment depending on the case/role.
  • Work with the lead TPM to take care of action items/tasks
