Job Description:

  • Contract Manager sits in the External Data Partner Management (EDPM) function of the CBA-XO Org.
  • The EDPM team drives CBA-XO’ engagement with all External Data Partners (EDP) in two areas:
  • Tech Business Development (BD-T) to negotiate and contract new data licenses from EDPs globally and 2) Tech - Account Management (TAM) to operationalize deals including ongoing SLA delivery and management, EDP communication planning and management, ongoing contract management and technical onboarding in collaboration with Engineering, Science, Product, Program, Finance and Legal.

Typical Day in life:

  • They will be working across multiple teams across organization (Legal)
  • Think of product, business development, and interfacing with partners themselves
  • Maintaining deals, documenting them, issuing work orders, PO’s, invoices.
  • They also be conducting post-mortems on projects, lessons learned, and driving project deliverables as a group.
  • Identifying process and system improvements from a system perspective.
  • Liaoning with legal with contract renewals.
  • Someone with finance background and understands profit & loss and sync with finance to run appropriate analysis to evaluate contract extensions and provide visibility to senior leadership if its worth pursing or not.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project/program management.
  • Must use data/metrics to drive improvements
  • 5 years of experience managing complex projects.
  • They need a hybrid between somebody who understands the contractual element and has those skills to work with legal and refine the dotted lines/crossed T’s & also the financial aptitude to run a PNL to do those types of budgets.
  • Also need someone to be a scrum master to lead development to keep the team on point with various initiatives. The combination of the two would be an exceptional candidate.

  • Understand commercial terms & comfortable working with finance & legal in an ambiguous environment.
  • Account management experience – only because it requires you to interact with multiple teams, drive outcomes, and handle issues that may arise.
  • Thoughtful diagnosis of the issues and relaying that feedback to ensure that we have the right commercial/contractual terms in place. Understanding the partnership and what we need form it and in reviewing the terms/flagging potential issues and coming up with solutions for it.
