About the Role:

  • The R&D Sourcing and Contracting Associate will be responsible for assisting in pre-clinical/research, clinical sourcing in support of global Phase I-IV clinical trials, and other ad hoc projects in the
  • Vendor Outsourcing department.
  • This position will primarily focus on supporting clinical operations, specialty laboratory, and functional services including sourcing and contract negotiation.
  • The Associate must be familiar with contracting frameworks and general legal terms, able to review contracts quickly, negotiate business terms, and support negotiation of legal terms.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential to ensure appropriate cataloging of terms and conditions into a database.
  • The Associate may assist in the entire life cycle of vendor selection, including RFI, RFP, vendor selection decision, contract negotiation, managing the change order process, and ensuring proper closeout of agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in pre-clinical/research, clinical sourcing for global Phase I-IV clinical trials
  • Support clinical operations, specialty laboratory, and functional services sourcing and contract negotiation
  • Review contracts quickly, negotiate business terms, and support negotiation of legal terms
  • Organize and catalog terms and conditions into a database
  • Assist in the entire life cycle of vendor selection, including RFI, RFP, vendor selection decision, contract negotiation, managing change orders, and ensuring proper closeout of agreements
  • Resolve moderately complex issues related to contract negotiation or management
  • Assist in contract negotiation process with internal customers and Legal department
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external teams such as clinical operations, finance, legal, business conduct, vendor management, and payments
  • Complete tasks and projects under minimal supervision
  • Manage competing priorities effectively and proficiently

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Life Sciences, Legal Studies)

Skill:

  • Familiarity with contracting frameworks and general legal terms
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate business and legal terms
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external teams
  • Proficiency in managing competing priorities


Pay Range: $45/hr - $50/hr
