Position:	Infrastructure Architect
Duration:	12+ Months (Possible Extension)
Location:	Charlotte, North Carolina or Jacksonville, Florida or Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid Model)

Day-to-day:

Responsible for the design of the infrastructure systems for a portfolio of applications by matching current technology blueprints and standards with the business and application requirements. This includes defining and documenting the hardware, software, infrastructure components, modules, interfaces, scalability, and high availability solutions to meet specified application, business, and company requirements.
Identify solutions and alternatives for keeping current and optimizing computer resources.
Investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions required for design and support of various types of enterprise applications.
Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
Write and maintain system design drawings and system specific detailed documentation.
3rd level support for major incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for a portfolio of applications
Supporting issues with deployments in the upstream and downstream environments

Must haves:

Extensive end-to-end infrastructure background – these resources need extremely well-rounded experience in infrastructure.
10+ years of experience is usually required to have gained full understanding of how the following technologies work together for successful infrastructure design:
Systems, HA systems, middleware, networking, load balancing, storage, database, cloud virtualization, capacity planning, firewalls, etc. – everything that makes up a solution set
