About the Role:  

• We are seeking Health Educators to work on two core projects related to TX Medicaid Cervical Cancer Screenings and Medicare Statin Medication Referral Outreach.  

 Responsibilities:  

• Assist with outreach to members for scheduling pap screenings, well woman exams, mammograms, annual wellness visits, A1c screenings, and blood pressure checks.  

•  Outreach to providers to advise on adding statin medications to members' medication plans and scheduling appointments for referrals.  

•  Develop, implement, and evaluate health education programs for members and the community.  

•  Provide oversight and assistance to providers in meeting health education contract requirements. 

• Act as a lead over health educators, making administrative decisions as delegated.  

• Conduct needs assessments, develop internal resources, and identify health education services within the community.  

• Coordinate health education services assessment of IPAs and medical groups, collaborate with QI on oversight, and submit required monthly reports.  

Education Qualification:  

• Bachelor's degree in health education, Public Health, or related field.  

Required Skills:  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

• Ability to abide by company policies and maintain confidentiality.  

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.  

• Experience with conducting needs assessments and developing health education interventions.  Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
