Position Details:

Title: Intermediate System and Cloud Administrator_Azure and Intune

Duration: 6 months - potential for extension

Location: Hybrid - 5x/week in person (first month), 3x/week in person afterwards

Compensation: $50-$55/hour

Start Date: ASAP

Day to Day:

• The Senior/Intermediate System and Cloud Administrator will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing network infrastructure and operating systems to meet institutional needs.
• This includes troubleshooting complex systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless network functionality. The candidate will manage virtual computing and storage systems, perform network security audits, and implement security protocols such as firewalls and wireless connectivity.
• Additionally, they will lead the development and implementation of cloud architecture, conducting assessments, designing solutions, and optimizing security.
• The role also involves managing IT projects, defining requirements, developing schedules, and providing stakeholders with regular updates, ensuring successful project delivery. Throughout, the candidate will maintain technical documentation and collaborate with various departments to align technology solutions with university goals.

Must Haves:

• 5 years’ experience as a System Administrator with exposure to system migration and Azure cloud.
• We are looking for an integrator or system administrator who has experience in system migration and Azure cloud particularly in the area of Intune.
• Previous project experience: migrating Windows servers running IIS and web application to a new private cloud infrastructure
• Migrating CentOS servers running Apache, PHP, other scripting languages, web applications and MySQL/MariaDB to a new private cloud infrastructure
• Preparing Azure App Service or Azure Enterprise App for migrating applications from on-premises infrastructure
• Previous tool and technology experience with: MS Active Directory, Windows 2022 servers, MS SQL Cluster, Windows Cluster services, MS IIS, MS Azure, Enterprise App, Intune, CentOS or Ubuntu Server administration, WordPress, PHP, Apache Web Server, MySQL/MariaDB administration.
