Pay Rate: $48.80/hr to $49.80/hr

Job Description:

• We are seeking a strong Software development Engineer to lead our client Delivery Experience worldwide.
• Our client Delivery is the highest profile and most important benefit for Prime customers shopping on client retail website.

• This Engineer will be building the next generation shopping experience and systems in order to provide a world-class Prime Delivery experience.
• You will be work on set of technologies (full-stack) leveraging AWS and common industry standards.
• As a member of our team, you will work closely with the business to design and implement new features.
• You will contribute to all aspects of an agile software development life cycle including design, architecture, development, documentation, testing and operations.
• You will push your design and architecture limits by owning all aspects of solutions end-to-end, through full stack software development.
• You will develop highly scalable, low latency, intelligent software that will have a massive impact for customers.

Mission:

• HM leads an out client but in the delivery experience of the org, where you see that prime logo.
• More on the CX – customer-facing experience, delivery experience CX – classifying different offerings on their platform and delivery experience on retail.
• The consultant will assist regular SDE in different projects, expect the consultant to quickly ramp up.
• They will be paired with a full time SDE and easier for them to ramp up.
• Help re-assessing the roadmap and delivering the platforms.

Day to day:

• 100% spending their time in development hands down coding.
• Attend a couple meetings and stand-ups on a daily basis
• Learn new in-house platforms and ramp up

Must have:

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Looking for Scala and Big Data background sde engineers – Spark, AWS, EMR (Elastic MapReduce)
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Focus on full stack – do not get front end candidate, focus on candidates writing logic behind the scenes
• HM will take Scala guys but open to other programming language
• Experience in large scale distributed systems will be a good fit
• STEM background degree
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Interview process:

• The program evaluates candidates on coding skills, basic programming, data structures, algorithms, and writing maintainable code, often through live coding exercises.
• It also includes system design questions, with a primary focus on system architecture.
• Additionally, they assess the candidate's past projects and the systems they've built, providing insight into their actual expertise.
• The team closely examines what the candidate claims on their resume, whether it's related to project work, design, or big data, to gauge how much they've truly accomplished and how proficient they are in those areas.
