Location: Remote, but needs to be in Michigan

Duration: 11 months

Pay Range: $20/hr - $26/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Writer to collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and analysts to research, write, edit, and proofread data for various documents and customer deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:

Research, write, edit, and proofread documents such as manuals, procedures, specifications, and reports
Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and meets editorial and client specifications
Apply technical writing methodology to draft and clarify information from raw data
Perform quality reviews of documents for spelling, grammar, and content accuracy
Select visuals to illustrate material and assist in laying out documents for publication
Ensure project documentation complies with legal, business, and regulatory requirements
Develop messages in appropriate styles for different audiences
Maintain records of work and revisions
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on communication projects

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field

Required Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong technical research and organizational skills
Positive attitude and ability to interact with diverse audiences
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Experience with MadCap Flare is a plus
Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and solve various issues
