Job Title: Full Stack Python Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a Full Stack Python Developer with strong expertise in FastAPI to join our dynamic and agile development team in Chicago. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs while contributing to full-stack solutions that power mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with deep hands-on experience in Python, modern web frameworks, and relational databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct technical spikes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies and reduce delivery risks.
• Develop clean, efficient, and well-tested Python code that meets functional and compliance standards.
• Design and implement scalable architecture components across data, application, and service layers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance during development and integration.
• Build and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, regression, performance).
• Ensure code quality, architectural integrity, and alignment with enterprise best practices throughout the SDLC.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience developing and deploying high-volume, distributed transactional applications.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and FastAPI (or similar asynchronous frameworks like Flask or Django).
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including SQL optimization and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of Git version control and collaborative workflows (branching, PRs, code reviews).
• Experience with pytest or unittest for automated testing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and full SDLC processes.
• Strong grasp of RESTful API design, component-based architecture, and data access patterns.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $65 – $70 per hour

This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
