Job Title: Support Engineer I (Drone Operator)
Job Location: College Station, Texas 77845
Job Duration: 11 Months (Contract to hire)
Pay Rate Range: $24.83/hr to $25.83/hr
Key job responsibilities:
- The Flight Support Assistant will work closely with crew members.
- Candidates must be self-driven and responsible.
Daily Schedule:
- Part of the Flight crew
- Prepare for the day’s operations.
- Work with aircraft and flight operations equipment
- Work on an operation to actually deliver a package.
- Installing batteries, and moving aircraft to/from the flight line.
- Working with the operator in command to complete checklists safely.
- Creating SOPs for Processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Hold a current and valid FAA Part 107 Must Have Before Employment
- FAA Certificate for small, unmanned aircraft operations
- https://www.faa.gov/uas/commercial_operators
- 2+ years of work experience or a completed Associates degree ( nonspecific)
- Able to lift equipment and carry out the physical activity with or without reasonable accommodation (45 lbs)
- Able to work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in aviation
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
Degree or Certification:
- Have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent.
