Job Opportunity:

• Collabera is seeking an HVAC Detailer to join the team! The HVAC Detailer will be an integral part of the BIM Department and be responsible for creating detailed 3D models of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models of mechanical systems using Revit, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into comprehensive mechanical designs.
• Develop, modify, and maintain families, templates, and libraries within Revit to enhance modeling efficiency and consistency.
• Coordinate with the architectural and structural teams to integrate mechanical systems into the overall building design, ensuring clash-free and coordinated models.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or similar software, identifying and resolving conflicts between mechanical systems and other building components.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including drawings, schedules, and specifications, based on the BIM models.
• Participate in design coordination meetings to communicate and collaborate effectively with project team members, highlighting any issues or design conflicts.
• Collaborate with the project team to optimize mechanical system layouts and support value engineering initiatives, balancing functionality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct quality checks and audits on BIM models, verifying accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and project guidelines.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members in mechanical modeling techniques and best practices using Revit.

Qualifications

• 3 years + of RevitMep or CadMep experience
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Revit BIM Modeler in the construction industry, specifically in mechanical systems design and coordination.
• Proficiency in using Autodesk Revit for 3D modeling of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to mechanical systems design and installation.
• Experience with clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar software.
• Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical system components, equipment, and their integration within building structures.
• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality control.
• Familiarity with construction document preparation and understanding of project lifecycle and deliverables.
