Position Details: 

Job Title: Capital Markets BSA 

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 3 day onsite) 

Duration: 6 months with high possibility of extensions (2 year expected for their project) 

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, Standard business hours 

Shift/Core Hours: 40 Hours

Job description: 

Responsibilities: 

• Collabera is looking for a  Business Systems Analyst to join tier 1 financial institution located downtown Toronto. The successful candidate  will support a high-priority, greenfield project focused on  supporting the upstream components a rare , mobile-friendly application for public use. This initiative centers on dynamic day-to-day currency conversion and foreign exchange payments, aiming to provide services typically restricted to clients to a broader, non-client audience.  

• The new application, set to begin development in June.  

• The platform will be accessible via Android, iOS, and modern web browsers through a single, responsive codebase using contemporary frameworks.  

• Given the nature of the service, the application is expected to attract significant traffic from both domestic and international users, potentially reaching millions.  

• The final decision on whether the application will be contracted out or built in-house has not yet been made. 

Must Haves: 

• 5+ years working as a Business Analyst working for tier 1 financial institutions 

• The project is in the preconception phase and has the potential to follow and agile or hybrid approach 

• Candidate needs to be well versed in creating BRDS, SRDS, SRS, User Stories, Use Cases, Epics, stakeholder analysis , stakeholder identification 

• Min 3 years of recent experience working with Capital markets with a strong understanding of foreign exchange and currency (i.e trade booking, converting currencies, foreign currency income…) 

• They need to understand the foreign currency and exchange ecosystem and have hand on experience living in the requirement they need to gather and as a technical BSA (i.e what goes into negotiating a quote? Conversations when calling traders..) 

• Previous project experience as a BSA when an application is built on multiple programming languages 

• Needs to be a self-starter, be self-disciplined to lead, and be okay with ambiguity as they app that is being built is new and proprietary to the bank 

• Previous experience being a problem solver 

• Strong ability to analyze things to solve things for the business 

Pluses: 

• Previous experience working with external vendors for RFPs 

• Mobile application experience is android or OS 

• i.e Understanding the native flow to ship an application
