Job Duration:
- The Content Platform team is looking for a Software Development Engineer. who will act as first-level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications.
- Your solutions will impact our customers directly! Primary responsibilities include developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA), performing SQL queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
- Responsibilities also include working alongside development on client Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes, and documentation of our systems.
Job Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications.
- They must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, are able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure.
Preferred coding skills:
- Perl, C/C++, and/or Java. Other desired technical skills include Mason, Perl CGI, SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX.
- A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
Business Group/Team culture:
- Post-purchase experience
- Team owns front-end/back-end
- Own both legacy and updated tech stack
- Last-minute request to prioritize the deprecation stack and move to the modern stack
- Contractors will be working on both.
Key projects:
- Migrating/ deprecating
Day to Day:
- 10% of time in meetings (stand-up, sprint planning)
- Coding /design
- 15% on design
- The rest would be mainly coding
- Some work would include documentation, operational tasks in addition to the above.

Required Skills:
- Microservice, architecture
- Pro mason, JAVA, JavaScript experience will be helpful
- Full stack priority (able to work front/back end)
- Mostly front-end, but as moved into new stack, logic will be built in full stack

- Back-end: design aspect is a nice-to-have
