About the Role:
  • This position involves consulting on complex initiatives with significant impact and large-scale planning for Business Execution. The role requires a deep understanding of multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Business Execution challenges, necessitating an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented elements. The successful candidate will contribute to resolving complex situations by understanding the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. Strategic collaboration and consultation with client personnel are key components of this role.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects within the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs associated with technology domain.
  • Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges related to low to medium risk deliverables.
  • Present recommendations for resolving issues or escalate issues as needed to meet service level agreements.
  • Develop an understanding of the technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements.
  • Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.
  • Analyze business requirements and develop COBOL software to specifications.
  • Understand Mainframe infrastructure, security frameworks, and risk standards.
  • Possess a solid working knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Have expertise in mainframe scheduling using CA7.
  • Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing, and debugging of programs.
  • Lead the migration of programs to production.
  • Develop new documentation and participate in the development of department technical procedures.
  • Assure code quality, security, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Have working expertise in mainframe technologies such as JCL, DB2, NDM, Mainframe Utilities, VSAM, SDSF, CICS, and SPUFI.
Required Skills:
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with internal/external teams.
  • Experience with building and maintaining enterprise-scale API and batch job processing.
  • Change and Incident Management expertise utilizing ServiceNow.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate with internal and external technology partners.
  • Software development SDLC experience.
