Job Title: OpenShift / Java Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Type: Contract (12–18 months)
Pay Rate: $60–$62 per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled OpenShift / Java Developer with extensive experience in backend development and containerized environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, deep familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift, and proven success in modernizing and scaling legacy applications for cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy containerized backend applications using Red Hat OpenShift.
• Re-engineer and re-architect existing monolithic applications to support scalability and high availability.
• Build and manage Helm charts to automate deployments and configuration management.
• Monitor application performance and system health using tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Analyze and define infrastructure requirements for container-based applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth CI/CD integration and deployment practices.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Core Java and related backend technologies.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Expertise in containerization technologies and related tooling.
• Experience working with Helm charts, container scaling, and infrastructure optimization.
• Proficient in Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent application monitoring tools.
• Proven ability to rearchitect legacy applications for container environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in enterprise-scale application development and deployment.
• Background in financial or regulated environments is a plus.
  Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native design patterns.
