Contract: Toronto, Ontario, CA

Salary Range: 65.00 - 86.00 | Per Hour

Must-haves:

  • 5 years of experience as an Automation Developer (Mindset of an SDET)

  • 3 years of Capital markets experience with a strong understanding of Front, Middle, and back office trading lifecycle

  • Previous experience of automation testing on back-end applications

  • 5 years’ experience with Python

  • 5 years’ of experience with Pytest Framework. Previous experience developing test cases and enhancing automation in a Python/ Py Test Environment

  • SQL experience

  • Data Validation experience

  • Strong understanding of Data Validation Testing, looking at back-end outputs and inputs

  • Strong understanding of Cloud concepts and Storage, preferably with AWS

CI/CD Experience:

  • Strong grasp of CI/CD concepts, ecosystem, and best practices.

  • Tools: Proficient with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins. While the team currently uses GitHub Actions, experience with Jenkins or similar tools is equally acceptable.

  • Pipeline Automation: Capable of building event-driven automation pipelines triggered by actions such as code commits, pull requests, or merges.

  • Strong understanding to Testing Lifecycle: Automation, Regression. Smoke, and UAT testing

  • Self-driven and can wear multiple hats

 Nice to have:

  • Experience with Gherkin

  • Previous experience as an SDET
