Markets Tax Information Reporting (TIR) is responsible for IRS Tax reporting 1042s across multiple workstreams and legal entities. Global Markets Inc., a US Financial Institution and one of the legal entities that conducts this reporting.

The volume of client accounts and transactions is significant and with the processes a mix of manual and systemic, there can at times be reconciliation differences during the year-end tick-back process.

The analyst will work with the TIR Subject Matter Expert (SME) to perform a data reconciliation of past financial filing years in order to pick up any differences that could give rise to incorrect tax reporting or potentially under/over withholding of US taxes.

The analyst will also work with the SME to produce specific metrics to present to management and track the progress of the reconciliations and any resulting breaks/resolution of breaks.

Analyze data and perform reconciliations to pick up any issues or data anomalies.

Present findings to SME and management

Support the resolution of any data issues through the completion of specific templates and work papers.

Practical Experience in undertaking reconciliation-related activities in a financial institution.

Experience in compiling data, defining, documenting presenting on findings and progress.

Practical experience in an operations environment.

2 to 5 years of relevant experience, in an operations environment

Reconciliation of data from multiple sources

Ability to interact confidently with other divisions, at all levels
