Z/OS DB2 DBA needed.

DayToDay Responsbilities:

New team being assembled – have an application (PARIS3) where they process a lot of retirement solutions (401k plans, defined befit plans) and need to improve the performance of overnight batch of that application.  

Not looking for someone who is more focused on managerial or high-level work, must be very hands on with z/OS and be able to go very deep when it comes to z/OS and SQL tuning.  

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hr.

Must Have:

• 8+ total years' experience (more encouraged) 
• Deep hands-on experience as a z/OS DB2 DBA, no other forms of DB2 count here, MUST be z/OS 
• Emphasis on hands-on experience, not project leadership or managerial experience, hands-on DBA work 
• Expert level skills in tuning SQL statements 
• Experience in analyzing stored procedures 
• Demonstrated results in tuning large data bases and reducing batch cycle windows 
• T/T: CICS, COBAL, JCL, etc (this should come with the z/OS exp) 
• Mainframe knowledge + experience 
• Deep experience with SQL & z/OS fine tuning applications   

NiceToHave:

• Insurance / retirement experience preferred 
• Large enterprise org experience
