Job Title     : Senior Ab Initio Developer

Job Description

• 6 - 12 years of Hands-on experience in Ab Initio (v4.0 and above) ETL Projects, Ab Initio solution design and documentation. Ab initio experience including GDE, Plans, continuous flow, m-hub and ACE/BRE.
•  Good experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments involving multiple teams
•  Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting
•  Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle
•  Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
•  Should have Ab Initio development in GDE experience with Understanding of GDE components like reformat , normalize, rollup , scan , sort ,partitioning and de -partitioning components, integration of java workflows with abinitio
•  Should have strong understanding of Ab Initio graph sub graph, psets , plans and air command , m-commands concepts
•  Should have Developed custom graphs implementing complex business requirements using GDE
•  Preferably should have worked on latest version of Ab Initio and BRE
•  Experience working on continuous flow graphs, Messaging queues.
•  Support ongoing ETL efforts in multi-lane Development, SIT, UAT and Production Environments..
•  Research new solutions, tools and methodologies that may improve the overall operation model process
•  Work very closely with business analysts, development teams and project managers for requirements and business rules.
•  Full life cycle Data Warehouse experience including star schema and dimensional data
•  Strong understanding of relational databases such as sql server, Oracle Teradata.
•  Experience with writing complex SQL for data analysis and data profiling

 Job Responsibilities

• Experienced in architecture and technical design and development of ETL, data & transformation programs and in delivering enterprise-complexity ETL solutions using Ab-initio suite using products such as: GDE, Co-Operating System, Control Center, BRE, Continuous Flows, Metadata Hub, Test Automation
•  Analyzes requirements and design documents, and creates technical mapping documents, data models, transformation rules and validates with client teams
•  Develops Ab initio components (frameworks, graphs) based on agreed-upon detailed functional and technical documents
•  Configures Ab initio components and performs unit testing
•  Experienced in Unix, RDBMS and SQL
•  Create well-informed and approved architecture and standards to addresses data integrity, performance, scalability, continuity of business and high-availability
•  Collaborate with client teams to finalize architecture components including designing, creating artifacts, and submitting for architecture review and approval
•  Maintain and improve architectural design and components for applications and projects using Ab initio
•  Supports client architects with analysis, designs, planning and management of effort to evaluate effort and quality targets
•  Communicates effectively and demonstrates leadership for tech delivery teams
