Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a VMware Engineer, with expertise in VMware version 6 or above. Financial industry experience is a must, along with a strong background in engineering and operations support.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure.
• Manage and support core ESXi and vSAN environments.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and efficiency in VMware operations.
• Implement and maintain VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) for process automation and self-service provisioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure and virtual machines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of VMware environment.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members in VMware technologies.
• Familiarity with Entrust and HyTrust for enhanced security and compliance.
• Strong scripting skills in addition to PowerShell, such as Python or Bash.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a VMware Engineer.
• Proficiency in VMware version 6 or above.
• Previous experience in the financial industry is required.
• Strong expertise in engineering and operations support for VMware infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with vSAN and core ESXi.
• Excellent PowerShell scripting skills.
• Hands-on experience with vRealize Automation (vRA) for automation and orchestration.
• Ability to train and mentor team members in VMware technologies.
• Familiarity with Entrust and HyTrust is a plus.
• Knowledge of other scripting languages like Python or Bash is desirable
