Job Title: Mechanical Engineer III

Job Location: Redmond, WA 98052

Contract Duration: 7 Months (Contract to hire)

Pay Rate: $45.00/hr to $50.04/hr

Job Summary:

Key Job Responsibilites:

• Create 2D manufacturing drawings, schematics, and assembly installation drawings
• Assist with 3D harness routing as needed

A Day In The Life:

• As a 2D wire harness drafter, you will be working closely with harness engineering team on a daily basis.
• You will assist with the final stages of design and release of harness designs for prototype, test and flight harnesses.

Required Skills:

• BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent
• Knowledge of MCAD software 3D modeling and 2D drafting
• Experience with wire harnessing design
• Experience in project management
• Strong communication and writing skills
• CAD software – 3 years.
• Modeling years
• Drafting years 

Preferred Skills:

• NX CAD software
• NX routing tools
• CAPITAL harness designer software
• Mechanical stack-up analysis
• Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools
• Schematic
• Wiring creation and or interpretation.

Must-have hard skills:

• CAD - 3 years minimum experience
• Design, modeling, drafting, 3 years minimum experience

Group:

• Team is in charge of wiring harness design for satellites.
• We have a mix of engineers and technicians on my team. We handle all the wiring across the program.
• We really need someone to help support the CAD & drafting aspect of it.
