DayToDay Responsbilities:

• Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. 

• Write test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. 

• Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new development and enhancements. 

• Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine application quality. 

• Communicate test progress, test results, and quality of application changes. 

• Analyze test results to discover and report on defects. 

• Work with business community to plan and execute UAT. 

• Assist in environment setup and management in preparation for test execution.

   

Must Have:

• Familiarity in testing APIs/services (REST and SOAP) using SoapUI, Postman or equivalent tools 

• Experience in cross browser, cross platform web and mobile testing and their dev tools that come with them 

• Proficient in leveraging Splunk or similar tools to view system logs and troubleshoot potential defects 

• Experience with communication tools like MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS Teams 

• Comfortable with test planning and tracking tools such as Confluence, Jira, Zephyr 

NiceToHave:

• Familiarity in Java, XML, JS, CSS and HTML 

• Familiarity with SauceLabs or equivalent tools 

• Direct hands-on experience with Java and/or Groovy, test automation frameworks, Selenium/Appium, with ad hoc query programs, and reporting software 

• Familiarity in version control systems like Git and Subversion 

• Familiarity in Java, XML, JS, CSS and HTML 

• Sound knowledge of Jenkins for Continuous Integration.
