Title: Drone Operator/ Operation in Command/ Flight Assitant
Location: Lockeford, CA
Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension based on performance)
Pay rangee: $30.87/hr to $31.87/hr with no benefits
Job Description:
- This position is in search for a skilled operator with extensive experience operating drones via a Remote Control.
- The qualified candidate will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting-edge safety related technologies.
- The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties.
- The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology.
- This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.
- The candidate will join a Research and Development team working on inventing and developing new transformative experiences.

- 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- 2+ years of Remote-Control pilot experience with excellent coordination and execution
- 2 or more years of experience with commercial UAS industry
- Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Experience leading small teams
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the year
- Valid Driver’s License and able to satisfy Client driver eligibility criteria
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with commercial UAS industry
- Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar
- Current US fixed-wing or rotorcraft pilot's certificate.
- Excellent business communications and reporting skills
- The team setting up operations within a larger team. The team is looking for sound judgment and safety is top priority.
- Adaptability, Team meetings 15-20 people. Each operator has a partner that goes into the field.
- Overall experience is priority. Flown similar aircrafts.
- 3 Backfill positions
- 80% on the field and 20% on the field, in the office working on notes and safety training, personal development. The candidate will have same partner for the whole week.
