Title:  Project Engineer

Location:  Grand Prairie, TX (Hybrid)

20-25% travel, potential for travel onsite to customer locations.

Why is this open: Backfill. The person who used to have the role was not organized, or proactive enough.

Mission-

• This Project Engineer will come into the role to oversee some new product development projects that need to be taken to completion.
• They will handle ECO's and customer issues that need to be taken care of quickly, and handle tasks based on customer complaints and perceived safety improvements that need to be made.
• They will help with the new product design of specific projects, safety tasks, and integration work. Working with Suppliers to integrate client equipment with theirs.

Day-to-Day: 

• Mechanical Design Engineering, change requests, new product development, demonstrated creativity. 
• Make sure tasks are taken to completion, and provide thorough updates
• Follow up, make plans, and sticks to them.
• Consistent tracking of progress on a project.
• Prioritization and understand what the next step of the projectis. 
• 30% PM, 70% design work.

Must Haves: 

• 5+ years of experience (can be mixed experience between engineering and projectManagement)
• Experience managing small projects without tons of supervision.
• Strong communication and organization.
• Creo Design Software Experience (or experience in another software where the knowledge is transferrable, if they are willing to put in personal time to learn Creo)
• BS in Mechanical Engineering (could be flexible if they have demonstrated experience in Industrial/Manufacturing)
• Servo Control Design, Pneumatics, and equipment design
