Client: Airlines & Aviation
Title: Java Developer
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-month contract (strong chances of extensions, possible conversion in the future)
Day-to-Day:
This person will perform both new and existing Java API development on our client’s mission-critical legacy application that houses and provides all flight-related data downstream to other product organizations and external clients.
Must Haves:
- 7+ years of Java development experience (Java 8 is a must-have, Java 11 is preferred)
- REST API development experience using Azure App Services
- Experience in J2EE technologies: Java, JSP, JMS, JAXB, JDBC, EJB
- Experience working on Oracle and MongoDB
- Persistence frameworks: Hibernate, Object/Relational Mapping, Query performance tuning
- Experience in cloud-based development (Azure App Service and Azure Event Hub)
- API development (from scratch): REST API development using Azure App Services
- Experience in Web Servers: Tomcat, tcServer, Websphere
- Experience in Web Services: REST/SOAP (JSON/WSDL/XML/AVRO)
- Frameworks: Spring Framework, Spring Boot
- Experience with Build/deployment tools: Maven, Gradel, Git, JUnit, Mockito
- Experience with DevOps Toolchain (GitHub Actions, Nexus
- Repository, SonarQube, Slack, Jenkins, New Relic) to deploy changes in the code
- Linux/Unix shell Scripting, JavaScript, MQ, SQL Developer, IDE
