URGENT HIRING for a REMOTE role for a CLAIM ADJUSTER

• We are seeking a Claims Adjuster with experience in claims processing.
• The ideal candidate will have an adjuster license in New York State and Washington State.

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims, using technical knowledge and human relations skills to ensure fair and prompt resolution of cases and contribute to a reduced loss ratio.
• Adjust reserves or provide reserve recommendations in accordance with corporate policies.
• Resolve complex, severe exposure claims with a high level of service orientation.
• Process and pay claims within the designated authority level.
• Review claims investigated by insurance adjusters and further investigate questionable claims to determine whether to authorize payments.
• Verify and analyze data used in settling claims to ensure validity and adherence to company practices and procedures.
• Enter claim payments, reserves, and new claims into the computer system, providing concise yet sufficient file documentation.
• Consult with legal counsel on claims requiring litigation.
• Contact or interview claimants, doctors, medical specialists, or employers to gather additional information.
• Maintain claim files, including records of settled claims and an inventory of claims requiring detailed analysis.
