Position Details:

Title: SQL Database Administrator (DBA)

Location: Hoboken, NJ- 3X/Week Onsite

Duration: Full time

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually

Mission:

  • The SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the MS Dynamics GP database, ensuring optimal performance, and facilitating upgrades.
  • Additionally, they will oversee the development and maintenance of other product databases and collaborate with the development team to address database-related issues.

Day-to-Day:

  • Maintain and upgrade the MS Dynamics GP database.
  • Develop and optimize stored procedures, queries, and SSRS reports.
  • Ensure regular backups and updates of all databases.
  • Manage and fine-tune backup processes, potentially utilizing Azure.
  • Collaborate with the development team to address database-related issues.
  • Conduct query tuning and optimization.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics GP.
  • Strong understanding of database backup and recovery procedures.

Plusses:

  • Familiarity with Azure for backups.
  • Experience in a data center environment.
