Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Education:
- BS/MS is scientific/engineering/Life sciences field.
- Will also consider recent PHD candidates.
Must have:
- 1-2 years’ experience in industry in Pharmaceutical/ physical/ analytical chemistry/ food science, or academic equivalent, is required.
- The ability to run, and interpret chromatography is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Strong leadership/interpersonal skills and a motivation to work in a team environment with cross-functional interactions are essential.
Nice to have:
- An understanding of preformulation aspects of new chemical entities, ability to generate and interpret preformulation laboratory data including microscopy, solubility, dissolution, DSC, PXRD are preferred.
Notes:
- 100% lab based role, onsite. 6 months role only.
Responsibilities:
- The Discovery Pharmaceutical Science (DPS) group-based Boston, MA is seeking a laboratory contractor.
- DPS is a multi-disciplinary research group that provides drug delivery, solid state, solution chemistry, and formulation tools in Drug Discovery and Early Drug Product Development.
- You will be responsible for the characterization of potential pre-clinical drug candidate physicochemical properties and the identification of suitable oral and parenteral preclinical formulations for pharmacology and toxicology studies for small molecules.
- Specifically, the candidate will use analytical tools to measure solubility / physical form as well as chemical stability.
- In this exciting role you will provide support to our discovery therapeutic areas based at our multi-disciplinary drug discovery site based in Boston, MA.
Comments/Special Instructions:
- BS/MS or PHD in Pharmaceutical sciences/Chemistry is preferred
