About the Role:

• Join our team at GT&O Technology ADS as a Data Warehouse Developer.
• You will be responsible for developing the Technology ADS Data Warehouse as part of a small team of developers and data analysts.
• This role involves working with a variety of programming tasks and technologies such as Hadoop, Exadata, Python, Sqoop, Spark, and Hive.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the Technology ADS Data Warehouse
• Design, code, test, and provide level 2/3 support for the data warehouse
• Partner with the business to ensure requirements are met
• Collaborate with other functional areas of technology (QA, Production Support) for effective implementation
• Work as part of an Agile team using Agile SDLC tools like Jira
• Lead the team, guide other developers, help with design, and write/edit framework scripts

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of development experience
• Experience with big data ecosystem (Hadoop, Hive, pySpark, Sqoop, Impala, etc.)
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages (Python, Perl, Java, etc.)
• Familiarity with database systems (Exadata, etc.)
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical ability, independent problem-solving skills, and good communication skills
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Excellent written, verbal, and diagramming skills
• Ability to learn new technologies and deliver in a fast-paced agile environment
• Expert knowledge of software development methodologies and industry practices
• Experience with building and deploying enterprise applications
• Ability to lead a team and guide other developers
• Proficiency in using PowerPoint for presenting solutions

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Spark, Impala, Sqoop, Oracle/SQL
