About the Role:

• We are seeking a candidate to provide intermediate-level intake and administrative services for patients being admitted to the hospital or treatment facility.
• This role involves obtaining demographic, insurance, and medical information, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and ordering diagnostic tests.

Responsibilities:

• Interview patients to gather demographic information
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorization
• Input patient registration information accurately into the system
• Provide information to patients and outside entities as directed
• Discuss financial arrangements with patients and family members
• Direct patients to appropriate locations and arrange transport
• Maintain patient charts, prepare forms, and manage supplies
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
• Serve as a resource for new patient services staff

Education Qualification:

• High School Diploma or GED

Skill:

• Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation 
• Familiarity with medical insurance claims procedures
• Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications 
• Ability to maintain patient records accurately
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capability to obtain patient demographic information and verify insurance eligibility
