Job Description:
The Securities & Derivatives Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliation of accounts managed by the Securities & Derivatives area
  • Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives
  • Minimize risk to the bank by monitoring errors and suggesting solutions that reduce errors, and ensure adherence to audit and control policies
  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate processes and data to ensure the accuracy and quality of completed settlement tasks
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding bank, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Lead Projects and Initiatives
  • Support Sec Finance Trading Desk with Trade Corrections, Trade Recalls, Return Processing, and Contract Compare
  • Provide Cash Investment Support for Money Market Fund, Time Deposit, Repo, and Mutual Fund investment processing
  • Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management
  • Support implementation of securities processing improvements
  • Assist with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processed
  • Provide informal guidance or on the job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skill
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
