Job Title: Senior Data Analytics Consultant 

 

Duration: 12 months, with a strong possibility of extension up to 24 months based on performance 

 

Mission: 

The Senior Data Analytics Consultant will play a key role in supporting the migration of applications from legacy technology frameworks to modern platforms. This role requires extensive expertise in complex data analysis, reconciliation, and SQL optimization to drive high-quality, accurate data management throughout the migration process. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide advanced technical expertise in data analysis, data comparison, and reconciliation for large-scale finance data migrations. 
  • Lead initiatives related to finance data strategies, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of migrated applications within the new technology framework. 
  • Perform SQL query optimizations and data reconciliations to ensure smooth data migration and reporting performance. 
  • Develop and implement business process improvements to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities. 
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to support performance tuning, optimization, and automation of high-volume/real-time data reporting. 
  • Leverage tools like Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot to drive advanced analytics, reporting automation, and performance improvements. 
  • Design and promote best practices for data engineering, data analysis, and reporting efficiency. 
  • Train and mentor internal teams on data performance, optimization, and analytics. 
  • Present complex findings and strategies to stakeholders and senior leadership to drive business decision-making. 

Requirements: 

  • 7+ years of advanced SQL experience in high-volume, enterprise-level environments. 
  • Expertise in data analysis and data engineering with experience using advanced tools and platforms such as Iceberg and/or Databricks. 
  • Extensive experience with automation and reporting tools, including Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot. 
  • Proven ability to work in large-scale, enterprise environments, preferably with clients like Google, Meta, Netflix, or other tech giants with transformative technology experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of data platform migration processes, particularly within finance or financial services. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for presenting data findings and strategies to senior leadership. 
  • Ability to lead performance improvement initiatives for near real-time reporting and drive business process optimization. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience working with finance transformation projects. 
  • Experience in migrating applications within the context of financial technology. 
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and other modern tech frameworks. 

Day-to-Day Activities: 

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to provide leadership on performance improvements and optimization of high-volume/near real-time reporting solutions. 
  • Conduct deep dives into complex data and platform migration analysis to support management decisions. 
  • Lead efforts in business process performance, focusing on enhancing application processes and controls. 
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to internal teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards. 
  • Design and implement data strategy improvements, ensuring data integrity and alignment with finance transformation goals.
