Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a production support environment
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and automation
  • Work with Unix, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Java, and Python
  • Analyze data and code to troubleshoot data quality and integrity issues
  • Collaborate with management and lead small efforts
  • Bring attention to risks before they become issues

 Required Skills:

  • Solid Unix skills, including Bash Scripting commands
  • Solid SQL language skills
  • Hadoop production support experience in a Dev/Ops environment
  • Experience with Spark development, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to troubleshoot Hadoop from a production support perspective
  • Strong data and code analysis skills
  • Decent Java skills (bonus)
  • Decent Python skills (bonus)
  • Automated testing experience with Cucumber skills (bonus)
