Pay Range :- $22/hr - $25/hr

  • Key job responsibilities:
  • Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect and troubleshoot cabling Installation and maintenance of copper and fiber cable infrastructure Install,
  • test and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords
  • Ensure that the Data Center and vendor installations comply with all installation practices
  • Report current status via ticketing system, status reports, email and slack
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Maintain accurate records and document problems and processes to successfully draft and execute changes within data centers
  • Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain site cleanliness
  • Work with a partner to move integrated enterprise equipment from loading docks into planned positions
  • Manage, check and coordinate all materials to be delivered to site daily
  • Carry cell phone for communication, information, and emergencies
  • Up to 50% travel within geographical work area may be required – within the state (across the highway).
  • Will need to have transportation to go from site to site as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma minimum
  • Minimum years of experience: Minimum years of experience 1 year in cabling or optic experience.
  • Worked in a data center previously would be a plus.
  • Required Skills: SM and MM fiber, computer hardware experience is a plus.
  • All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations:
  • Walk job sites in uneven terrain
  • Work safely at heights and from ladders
  • Ability to work on your feet conducting site walks and installation tasks for the entirety of an 8-hour shift.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41 pounds or more
  • Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in after-hours support as neede
