Job Title: Senior Linux Engineer  

Location: Plano, TX – 3 day onsite 2 day remote 

Duration: 12 month contract (Possible extensions)

Mission:

• As a Senior Linux Engineer within the Quartz application support team, the consultant will provide high-level troubleshooting and triage support for Linux network-related issues.
• This role will focus on ensuring the proactive resolution of application issues, working closely with the development team to guarantee optimal application performance, automation, and deployment releases, while monitoring and supporting the application infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Troubleshoot and support Linux-based network issues for the Quartz application. 
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and integration. 
• Manage infrastructure for Generative AI (Gen AI) initiatives. 
• Monitor and maintain application infrastructure for high availability. 
• Automate testing, deployment, and processes using tools like Selenium. 
• Assist with application migrations and system updates. 
• Support Dynatrace for performance monitoring and issue resolution. 
• Use Splunk for proactive log analysis and monitoring. 
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automation and deployment. 

Must-Have Qualifications: 

• 7+ years as a Linux Engineer supporting large-scale, high-performance applications. 
• Expertise in Python scripting for automation, troubleshooting, and system integration. 
• Hands-on experience with Selenium for test automation and CI/CD pipeline integration. 
• Proven experience in application migration planning and execution. 
• Proficiency with Dynatrace for performance monitoring and troubleshooting. 
• Strong experience with Ansible and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. 
• Familiarity with Splunk for log management and real-time monitoring. 

Plusses: 

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). 
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams. 

 Pay Range: $60/hr - $63/hr
