About the Role:The Patient Services Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients by handling appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and medical billing inquiries. This role ensures a smooth patient experience by coordinating with healthcare providers, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with front-desk operations.Key Responsibilities:•Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, providing accurate and timely assistance.•Maintain customer records and ensure data accuracy in company systems.•Resolve customer concerns efficiently while delivering a positive service experience.•Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve issues as needed.•Adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.Education:•High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Experience: •1+ year in customer service or administrative support (healthcare, call center, or dispatch experience preferred).•Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.•Experience with patient registration and scheduling systems•Knowledge of medical billing, insurance verification, and prior authorizations•Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems•Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information•Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment•Problem-solving and organizational skills•The candidate should be local to Temple texas.•The payrange is $17-18/hr.
