Title: Level 1 Configuration Technician

Duration: 6 months (strong possibilities of extension)

Location: Vernon Hills, IL (onsite)

Shift timings: 1st shift - 5:30 am-2 pm CST or 2nd shift - 1:30 pm - 9:00 PM CST

Pay Rate: 19/hr

Why is thiopen:

The configuration team needs more support with the new influx of clients they have taken on. This team heavily supports Public schools, and enterprise-level clients and their need for configured Chromebooks.

Mission-

The configuration technician will assist with the completion of orders based on the work instructions provided, unpack the components of laptops, perform configuration, and then repackage the Chromebooks for shipping.

Day-to-Day:

Collabera is looking for a Level 1 Configuration Specialist. In this role, you will assist with the configuration of Chromebooks primarily for several different clients.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include setting up and configuring the devices, ensuring that all necessary software and settings are properly installed.
You will also troubleshoot any basic hardware or software issues that arise during the configuration process to ensure that all devices are functioning as intended.
Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing the configured Chromebooks for shipment by securely packaging them back up once configured.
Attention to detail is key as you'll need to ensure that each device meets quality standards, with accurate documentation of serial numbers and configuration details.
This role plays an essential part in supporting the increased demand from clients, ensuring that each Chromebook is ready for use once set to the client.

Must Haves:

0-2 years of experience needed
Ability to assemble and configure hardware (Chromebooks).
Software Installation – Install and set up operating systems and software as needed for the client.
Troubleshooting – Solve basic issues with hardware/software setups.
Attention to Detail – Ensure configurations meet quality standards.
Documentation – Record configurations and serial numbers accurately.
Teamwork – Work under supervision and collaborate with others.

Ability to be on your feet in a warehouse setting
