Job Description:
  • The team is looking for a Software Development Engineer, who will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications.
  • Primary responsibilities include developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA), performing SQL queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
  • Responsibilities also include working alongside development on Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.
 
Preferred coding skills:
  • Perl, C/C++ and/or Java.
  • Other desired technical skills include Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX.
 
 
Day to Day:
  • 10% of time in meetings (stand up, sprint planning)
  • Coding /design
  • 15% on design
  • Rest would be mainly coding
  • Some work would include documentation, operational tasks in addition to the above.
 
 
Required Experience:
  • 5+ Years of Non Internship SDE experience.
  • Micro service, architecture
  • Pro mason, JAVA, JAVA script experience will be helpful
  • Full stack priority (able to work front/back end)
  • Mostly front end but as moved into new stack logic will be built in full stack
  • 50% on front end 50% on back end
  • Back end: Design aspect is a nice to have
 
Top 3 must-have hard skills:
  • JAVA
  • Some level of system design
  • Web development or full stack experience

  • Strong experience in System Design
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies
  • 5+ Years of Non Internship SDE experience
