Node.JS Backend Developer - Web Search Team
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Backend Node.js Developer with a strong background in GraphQL to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power our applications.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional Node.js backend development experience (freelance experience not considered).
- Strong proficiency in GraphQL, including schema design and API implementation.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
- Proficiency in Git and GitHub.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working within an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
- Design and implement GraphQL APIs, ensuring efficiency and security.
- Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching mechanisms for optimized performance.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API specifications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following best practices.
- Implement unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability.
- Monitor and improve application performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments.
- Utilize GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
- Implement and manage CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Contribute effectively within an Agile development environment.
- Experience with Apollo Server or other GraphQL frameworks.
- Understanding of serverless architectures.
- Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and security best practices.
