Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Jira Administrator/Developer to assist in the migration from Jira Software/Server to Jira Service Management (JSM). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Jira administration, automation, Groovy scripting, and workflow customization, with a focus on streamlining incident response and workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Configure and maintain Jira Service Management functionality.
  • Develop and maintain complex automation workflows within Jira.
  • Manage Jira security configurations, including groups, project roles, and permission schemes.
  • Work with Jira REST APIs for integrations and extensions.
  • Maintain and enhance ProForma configurations and Insight/Assets functionality.
  • Utilize Atlassian Plugin SDK and ScriptRunner for extending Jira capabilities.
  • Automate administration tasks such as user management, role configurations, and scheme updates.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to develop upstream and downstream data integrations.
  • Ensure proper documentation, testing, and version control for all configurations and development work.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and follow SDLC best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Jira Software/Server and Jira Service Management (JSM) Data Center Edition.
  • Expertise in Jira automation rules and Groovy scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira security configurations, permission schemes, and issue security settings.
  • Experience working with Jira REST APIs for integrations and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience integrating Jira with downstream reporting solutions.
  • Hands-on experience developing Jira Data Center extensions using Java SDK.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Kanban, or Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity-related workflows.
  • Experience with .NET development and REST API integrations.
