Job Title:Payroll Tax Analyst

Mission:

Working through tax notices and tax setup issues and tax registration, individuals could be set up wrong in system, wants someone who can look at the system and know if its correct or incorrect. Someone who has worked in many states across the country.

Needs an extra person to help work through tax notices and tax setup issues and tax registration, individuals could be set up wrong in system, wants someone who can look at the system and know if its correct or incorrect.

Must Haves:

5+ years experience working in Payroll Tax - strong understanding of Gross Pay and Net Pay
Experience with refunds, amend returns, filing state taxes
Multi state tax experience, large company with many states across the country (20 states)
Understanding of Reciprocity - if you work in one state and live in another - locals tax experience
Microsoft skill - excel, not afraid of pivot tables and v lookups - data analysis

Plusses:

UKG experience (very efficient and user-friendly system) , or experience with ADP, any other 3rd party provider

Day To Day:

Working through tax notices and tax set up issues, tax registrations (with states), documenting everything, could be individuals are set up incorrectly in the system so they can walk through an employee's record.
Auditing (critical thinking) of analysing data – someone who is working in a certain location and if they are set up appropriately to be paid in that location.
Get the tax notices through the mail.
