Position: Product Owner/ Business Analyst_Insurance Domain
Duration: Contract till end of year with possible extensions
Location: Hybrid (2x/week in office)- Toronto, ON
Compensation: $60-$70/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- 7+ Years of experience
- Strong product ownership mindset with experience creating and managing backlogs, writing user stories, and prioritizing features.
- 60% business, 40% technology focus - must have the ability to deeply understand business problems within the claims function and translate those into technical requirements.
- Experience interfacing directly with business stakeholders, particularly in Claims or Insurance (commercial P&C experience preferred).
- Comfortable leading engagement discussions with AVPs and business teams, actively participating in problem-solving conversations.
- Ability to categorize business problems within existing workflows and determine where they belong in the backlog.
- Translate business issues into technical conversations with architects and technology teams - not just a note-taker, but someone who can challenge business ideas and guide conversations productively.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to driving value from sprints and deliverables.
