Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Teradata Developer to join a dynamic data engineering team supporting critical enterprise data initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Teradata, with strong BTEQ and Unix scripting skills, to help deliver business-as-usual (BAU) and project-based work. This role focuses on developing and maintaining scalable data warehouse solutions that drive decision-making and analytics across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support Teradata-based data warehouse solutions.
- Develop and maintain complex BTEQ scripts for ETL processes.
- Optimize Teradata performance through tuning and efficient data modeling.
- Write Unix shell scripts for job automation and workflow enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support production deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Teradata development.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data sourcing, and provisioning.
- Advanced skills in BTEQ scripting and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys.
- Familiarity with Informatica or other ETL tools.
