Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Workday Architect to join our Employee Experience Technology team. This role is hands-on and focused on building, configuring, and enhancing Workday business systems—not production support. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Workday HCM configuration, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset to deliver business-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide strategic Workday solutions.
- Translate Workday documentation into practical application-specific configurations.
- Handle and optimize 400+ data configurations moving in and out of the Workday platform.
- Lead hands-on configuration of Workday modules, including Core HCM.
- Design and build new modules from scratch based on evolving business needs.
- Manage semi-annual Workday releases (February and August), ensuring all changes are implemented smoothly.
- Conduct demos and walkthroughs of new configurations with stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind the build.
- Partner with offshore teams to coordinate delivery and manage configuration dependencies.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 10–15 years of Workday configuration experience.
5+ years specifically in Core HCM configuration. - Proven ability to build and configure Workday modules from scratch.
- Strong analytical skills with business analysis experience.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts in business terms.
- Experience supporting Workday configuration releases and updates.
- Demonstrated initiative and a self-starter attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within financial services or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with offshore collaboration models.
- Previous experience at large banks or enterprise HR tech teams.
