About the Role:

• The Application Technology R&D group is seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to support the development of next-generation crop protection products. This role plays a critical part in evaluating product performance through lab-based testing that simulates real-world agricultural application scenarios.
• The technician will be responsible for executing physical and chemical characterization studies, analyzing product application behavior, assessing material compatibility, and collaborating closely with scientists and engineers to support product development and launch readiness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute application, material compatibility, and product characterization studies
• Perform high-throughput HPLC chemical assay testing
• Conduct surface tensiometry and droplet characterization experiments
• Manage multiple ongoing studies and prioritize effectively
• Collaborate with application scientists to meet project timelines and peer review deadlines
• Perform physical and chemical testing of formulated crop protection products
• Document detailed experimental observations and suggest potential improvements
• Organize and summarize experimental data across various projects
• Submit samples for analysis in coordination with analytical scientists
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for current and new methodologies
• Uphold safety and best practices in the laboratory environment

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience in a chemical or physical testing laboratory
• Experience working with formulated products preferred
• HPLC or other analytical instrumentation experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and resolve issues with minimal supervision
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple studies simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and continuous improvement mindset
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range: $20 - $23 an hr.
