Position: Infrastructure Engineer Cryptographic Systems

Location: Addison, Charlotte and Chicago

Pay Range: $65 - $68/hr.

Duration: 12-18 Months (Possibility of Full-Time Conversion)   

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in cryptographic key management systems (KMS), cloud infrastructure, and hardware security modules (HSMs). This role is critical to ensuring secure key lifecycle management across enterprise environments and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-wide cryptographic key management systems aligned with industry standards.
• Work extensively with Thales CipherTrust Manager and Payshield 10x for encryption and tokenization solutions.
• Architect and support KMS and cloud HSM integrations across Azure Key Vault (AKV), AWS KMS, and Cloud KMS.
• Ensure compliance with encryption and cryptographic standards such as OASIS KMIP 2.0, EMVCo, Global Platform, Multos, ANSI, FIPS 140-2, and NIST SP 800-57.
• Support encryption of database platforms including MS SQL TDE, Oracle TDE, using PKCS11 and KMIP-compliant tools.
• Use REST API testing tools like Postman or Insomnia to validate KMS integrations.
• Implement and manage full-stack monitoring with tools such as Splunk and SNMP v3.0.
• Operate in Windows and Linux environments and manage Kubernetes, OpenShift, and other container orchestration platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Thales CipherTrust Manager and Payshield 10x.
• Expertise in key lifecycle management and enterprise cryptography.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud KMS platforms – Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Familiarity with industry standards for cryptography and secure key handling.
• Experience with encryption for relational databases (SQL Server and Oracle).
• Proficient in using REST APIs and log management solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift in both Linux and Windows environments.
