About the Role
- We are seeking a certified and experienced Ergonomist to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This role focuses on optimizing human well-being, comfort, performance, and safety by evaluating and improving workplace systems, equipment, and environments.
- The position requires fieldwork in non-office environments and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Pay Range: $55 - $63 an hr
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct ergonomic evaluations using scientific and functional methodologies.

Perform ergonomic risk assessments to identify contributing risk factors and root causes.

Recommend and implement control measures to reduce ergonomic risks.

Utilize VelocityEHS Industrial Ergonomic Software for assessments.

Create ergonomic risk maps to visually identify high-risk areas across facilities.
-
Conduct physical demands analyses to determine the essential physical requirements of job roles.

Develop detailed functional job descriptions, including manual handling and physical task requirements.

Collaborate with Human Resources to integrate physical demands data into official job descriptions.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.

Certification as a Professional Ergonomist (required).
Skills and Competencies:
-
Proficiency in ergonomic evaluation and risk assessment techniques.

Skilled in using ergonomic software tools like VelocityEHS.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Understanding of safety standards; CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) and CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certifications are a plus.

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including GMP clothing, safety glasses, safety shoes, and lab coats.

The role includes visiting non-office/lab environments for conducting ergonomic assessments and documentation.
