About the Role:
- We are seeking a skilled Ergonomist to join our team in a hybrid position, working up to 30 hours a week.
- The Ergonomist will be responsible for optimizing human well-being, performance, comfort, and safety by studying and designing systems, equipment, and workplaces.
- This role requires certification as a Professional Ergonomist and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ergonomic evaluations using a scientific and functional approach to develop solutions.
- Perform ergonomic risk assessments to identify risk factors, root causes, and recommend controls to reduce ergonomic risks.
- Utilize VelocityEHS Industrial Ergonomic Software for ergonomic risk assessments.
- Create ergonomic risk maps to provide visual representation of risk locations within facilities.
- Conduct physical demands analysis to measure peak physical demands of job positions and establish essential functions.
- Develop functional job descriptions outlining manual material handling, body positions, and movements required for job performance.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to integrate physical demands data into job descriptions.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Certification as a Professional Ergonomist required.
Payrate
$55/hr-$63/hr
